Thomas Retires
How do I obtain a
copy of an accident report or incident report?
You can mail your
request to:

In your request,
include a self-addressed stamped envelop and a check or money
order for $10.00 for incident reports $15.00 for accident
reports and $5.00 for complaints, made payable to South Fayette
Township Police Department. Also include the date of the
complaint, accident or incident, location, incident number
and/or name of the persons involved or operator of the vehicles.
Also include a telephone number where you can be reached.
Processing time is
generally three to five working days. You may also stop at the
South Fayette Township Police Department to pick up your report
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please call (412)
221-2170 with your request so the report is available upon
arrival.

parking ticket?
Parking tickets can
be paid by mail or in person at the South Fayette Township
Police Department between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday.

Can I make a late
report of a crime or traffic accident by phone?
No. In the event of
a crime, police officers should respond to the scene and gather
information as soon as possible. If you want to file a
late-reported or hit-and-run accident, you must bring your
vehicle to the police station. The Police Department will only
make a complaint that you have reported this incident or
accident.

How do you get a
Handicapped Placard?
Contact the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation or South Fayette
Township Police Department requesting an application for a
placard. After it is received, your family doctor fills it out
and it is returned to the Department of Transportation in
Harrisburg. If you qualify, the placard is then issued by the
Department of Transportation. The completed application can also

THOMAS RETIRES
The South Fayette
Township Police Department congratulates Patrolman Gary Thomas
on his retirement. Patrolman Thomas joined the South Fayette
Township Police Department on March 8, 1982. Patrolman Thomas
was assigned to the Patrol and Drug Task Force.
