Trash and Recycling Information

NORMAL TRASH/RECYCLING DAYS ARE ON THURSDAYS.

HOLIDAY SERVICE:
If a Holiday falls during the week and your scheduled pick-up is on or after the holiday, pick-up will be one day later for the remainder of the week. The holiday's affected are Memorial Day, Labor Day and Christmas.

WHO:
Waste Management of PA. 1-800-866-4460

WHAT:
Recycling: Glass, aluminum, and bi-metal cans, tin cans, plastic bottles, and newspaper.

WHERE:
Place container at curbside beside your regular trash.

RECYCLING CALENDAR:
Recycling comes every other week on your normal trash day. If a holiday falls during the week and your scheduled pick-up is on or after the holiday, pick-up will be one day later for the remainder of the week. If problems occur with trash pickup, please call Waste Management at 1-800-866-4460. Please, do not call the township.

PLASTIC - MILK, WATER, JUICE AND SODA BOTTLES:
1. Rinse.
2. Remove all lids and rings (including plastic caps).
3. Remove paper labels.
4. Flatten if desired to save space.
5. Place in container.
6. No Oil or Chemical Containers.

GLASS - ALL COLORS:
1. Rinse - Labels can stay on.
2. Remove all metal lids and rings.
3. No window glass, light bulbs, pyrex, or ceramics.
4. Place in container
(Do Not Break)

NEWSPRINT (NEW):
Newspaper, magazine are to be placed "Loosely" in paper bags, cardboard boxes, or containers labeled newsprint and must be placed separately from commingled recyclables. Bundled newsprint or plastic bags will not be accepted.

ALUMINUM AND BI-METAL BEVERAGE CANS AND FOOD CONTAINERS:
1. Rinse.
2. Place in container.

TIN - FOOD CANS:
1. Rinse.
2. Ends may be included.
3. Flatten if desired to save space.
4. No Paint Cans.
5. Place in container.

GARBAGE / REFUSE PREPARATION:
1. Branches and carpet must be cut to 4ft. lengths and bundled.
2. Building materials/car parts NOT accepted with regular trash pick-up.
3. Freon needs to be removed. Proof of removal must be attached (sticker and invoice).
4. Paint must be dried (lids off).
5. Cans/Trash Bags should not exceed 60lbs.
