Township Receives
$52,458 Grant
The Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Protection
announced the 2007 Act 101
Recycling Development and
Implementation Grants. South
Fayette Township will be the
recipient of a $52,458 grant for the
development and implementation of
a tree-trimming and mulch recycling
program. Under the program the
Township will purchase a new
large brush and tree chipper, and
construct a mulch storage facility.
Initially, the program will permit the
Township to mulch collected tree
trimmings from municipal operation
and store the mulch at the new
facility. The mulch will be made
available to Township residents at
no cost. The program should be
operational by the fall of 2008.
More details will be provided later
