Cleaning Up the Town

Presto-Sygan Road got a much-needed cleaning in early April, thanks to a handful of volunteers who redded up the roadside as part of Pennsylvania’s Great Cleanup Day. Amy Smith, president of the South Fayette Conservation Group, says the volunteers ended up with 25 trash bags full of litter, containing “everything from beer cans to lots of those new McDonald’s premium coffee cups. I even found someone’s ATM card.” Residents tidied up the township again a few weeks later for South Fayette’s official Cleanup Day.
