SF Rocks Out with Footloose
The story of a town with no dancing had audiences tapping
their toes in April as South Fayette’s high school students
staged their version of the 1984 movie Footloose.
Directed by Mariann Mackey, with choreography by Alivia
Vereb-Owen, the show featured plenty of dancing, as well
as hit songs like Holding Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise,
Let’s Hear It for the Boy, and of course, Footloose.
The show starred Michael Venetti as Ren, a city boy
who moves to a town where dancing and rock music are
banned. David Weber played Rev. Moore, the town’s moral
leader. Bethany Drake played Ariel, the lead’s love interest,
and Allison Supko and Cory Hazy had supporting roles.
