Volunteers
Would you like to become
part of the team that is
helping to shape the future of
South Fayette Township? Are
you interested in being part of
a board, commission, or
workgroup? The Board of
Commissioners has
implemented a program to
attract interested resident is
serving in any capacity. Simply
log on to the Township’s
website at south-fayette.pa.us
and download the “Volunteer
Application.” Fill it out and
send it back to the Township
either by e-mail or regular
mail.The Board will keep the
applications and match
interested residents with
volunteer positions on boards,
commissions, taskforces,
workgroups and committees.

New ordinances/resolutions
The Board adopted an ordinance
amending the Township’s Code of
Ordinances Chapter 171
“Nuisances,” to prohibit the
overnight parking of
tractor-trailer trucks
within 500 feet of a
residential area.
The Board authorized advertisement of an ordinance vacating a
portion of Nicholson Drive.
The Board adopted an ordinance limiting the number of
driveway entrances on an Arterial/Collector Road as part of any
new major subdivision.
The Board adopted a new policy dealing with laptop computer use.
The Board adopted a new Commercial Signage Overlay District
to provide clear regulations for signage within a large commercial
or business park.
The Board adopted a policy establishing procedures for the
effective collection,management, use and investment of funds
collected as part of the Township’s fee-in-lieu program, sale of
development rights, donations, park fundraisers and/or private
contributions.
